The live action film Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X) will be shown on Philippine theaters starting December 5 and I’m sure Filipino anime fans will troop to the cinemas to watch it. Here’s a reminder though – the movie will be exclusively shown only at SM Cinema movie theaters as part of their Cinexclusive Series.
Produced by Warner Bros. this movie adaptation of the popular anime was released on August 25, 2012 but did not reached our country. I heard that the Filipino fans heard about this and rallied that it be screened in the Philippines. And the rest as they say is history, as it looks like SM Cinema successfully acquired the exclusive right to show the movie in their theaters.
I will be watching it on Sunday at SM City North Edsa, so stay tuned for my review. Incidentally, a blogger is giving fans the chance to win tickets to the advance screening. Head over to Tatak Digitista for a chance to win those tickets! Here’s the link: http://digitista.blogspot.com/2012/11/tweet-post-your-way-to-advance.html. Hurry, the contest ends tonight, December 1 at 11pm.
