I’ve been performing in different places, but nothing beats performing in front of your very own kababayans, who love you dearly and who you know will always root for your success,” said Pineda. “Let this concert be one of my ways to thank my Filipino fans for always being there for me, cheering me on as I fulfill my passion of performing while showing the world the immense talent of the Filipinos.”
Observing Arnel Pineda during the press conference for his Valentine concert, I can say that he remained humble despite the fame. He was discovered by Journey co-founder Neal Schon after posting cover videos of bands like Led Zeppelin and Journey on YouTube. Pineda became Journey’s new vocalist in 2007 and toured with the band since then, singing classic ballads like Open Arms and Faithfully.
To shot into international popularity is definitely a feat that if you’re not ready, it can go to your head. That’s not the case with Arnel Pineda. I was actually hoping to hear him sing at the event. But he shared that he can’t because of he lost his voice. He was even told by the doctor not to speak, but he kept talking answering questions that comes his way at the Let It Love, Let It Rock press con.
Concert-goers will definitely not be disappointed by Arnel Pineda as he shared that the audience are in for a treat at the concert. Expect to hear his own renditions of popular rock love songs along. You might even get to hear new songs as he shared that an album is currently in the works. Of course, a duet with Yeng Constantino will be sensational.
