Big-Time Satisfaction with Wendy’s Big Burger - the BBQnator

Wendy’s Hamburgers is synonymous to huge burgers with veggies, cheese, and a beef patty or two that are not common in fast food joints. Last Thursday, I had the chance to enjoy their latest offering - the BBQnator.

This burger is Wendy’s Philippines‘ latest signature burger with 2 beef patties, 6 strips of smoked bacon and 2 slices of cheese topped with onion rings made, with Hickory Barbecue sauce — all sandwiched by Kaiser buns. The ingredients is a mouthful I know, but so is Wendy’s BBQnator. The patties are beefy and juicy; the onion rings are sweet; the Hickory sauce made everything special. I enjoyed it!

Wendy’s BBQnator is really for those with huge appetite like me. I love that I’m not left wanting after eating this mouth-watering burger. It’s a perfect indulgence for this season as we treat ourselves and indulge in the festivities. It really is a satisfying burger. But for those who wish to be in control of their diet even for just a little, Wendy’s also offers the Son of the BBQnator - the scaled down version of this huge burger, which some of my girl friends with smaller appetite would prefer.

This limited edition treat is now available in all Wendy’s Hamburger restaurants and can be had for P255 Ala Carte and P315 for combo. The combo meal includes the fries and Wendy’s refreshing iced tea. The Son of the BBQnator is priced at P156 Ala Carte and P198 for combo. And if you want to up the ante as far as indulgence is concerned, order the new Wendy’s Onion Rings — slices of yellow Spanish onions with mild, sweet flavor, lightly battered & breaded. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Really good for any burger combination.

Incidentally, I was watching a cable channel early today and chanced upon a show that talks about fast food in the US. The episode featured fast food chains offering drive thru services. In the show, Wendy’s drive-thru operation was featured and touted as the fastest in serving drive-thru customers. Now here’s one interesting information I gathered in the show. Wendy’s became popular because of the square patties. Apparently, the Philippine franchise was faithful in making their burgers by having squared patties as well. But here’s one interesting fact that I learned when I was eating the BBQnator last Thursday - it’s only available in the Philippines and may eventually be introduced in the US. I bet the American customers will be envious of the BBQnator.

  1. Wow! so big! my whole family could already share one combo meal. We’re a fan of Wendy’s, I myself love their big fries and mushroom melt bacon cheese burger. We’ll try that this weekend :)
