Frozen Yogurt is now a craze, not only in the Philippines, but in the world. In fact, our country has just recently caught on it’s popularity. I’m no stranger to this dairy, but I’m not exactly a fan. I do buy the ones from the grocery made by a popular brand, yet I haven’t had the interest to make an effort and try the ones mushrooming in the market. But came the invite from a fellow blogger, and that’s when I tasted a guiltless pleasure.
We decided to visit another blogger who happens to be the franchise owner of Yoh Froz located at the lower ground floor of Shangri-la Plaza just next to the entrance of Rustan’s Supermarket. The place is a clean open space with white tables and chairs. The owner provided wi-fi access, making it perfect for customers to sit and wait around while enjoying the frozen dessert.
We had Mango Parfait, reminiscent of the ice cream concoction in tall glass with syrup and other ingredients thrown in. I love that ice cream! This version is naturally in keeping to healthy eating, with mango, cereals and almond nuts. I was surprised that though there’s a tangy taste, it doesn’t overpower. It tasted really good, and is complemented by the other ingredients. I love the crunch of the cereals. The sweetness of the mango complemented the taste of the yogurt. I got the biggest cup costing P165 if I’m not mistaken. It’s a bit pricey for a dessert, but I would still buy one if I get the chance.
Frozen yogurt is healthy, there’s no doubt. In fact, Yoh Froz has a table tent card which lists down the health benefits of their product. But what I love about it, aside from the taste, is that I don’t have to worry about being lactose intolerant. To be honest though, I never really cared about that. I would still buy ice cream or blended coffee despite being aware that my tummy will act out after enjoying these treats. At least I have something to enjoy without being worried of the after effect.
I highly recommend Yoh Froz. It’s delicious. It’s healthy. Plus, their branch at Rustan’s Shangri-la is blogger friendly too, thanks to free wi-fi. I’ll definitely go back!
