Now it can be told, Unilever’s PureIt Water gives me genuinely purified water. After 2 months of use, I can confidently recommend this in-home water purifier system. Yes, it took me that long to be convinced about how effective this product is. After all, we’re talking about health here. Now I’m grateful that I am not just able to give this a try, but keep it as well. I no longer fear of drinking contaminated water at home, with no extra expenses.
For more than 10 years now, I have been getting my supply of drinking water from a neighborhood purified water station. It didn’t really cost that much as I only pay Php30.00 for 5 gallons of water. We had to purchase our drinking water because our tap water doesn’t taste good. Plus, there are obviously fears of drinking contaminated water that will definitely endager our health.
But my auntie, who also get their supply of drinking water from the same source has to actually boil the water. She shared having upset stomach whenever drinking the purified water they purchase. Although I have yet to experience that, it is a cause of worry. Truth be told that all these purified water station may not be really using hygienic equipment to process the water. As a matter of fact, I’ve encountered deliveries of containers that looked dirty.
When I learned about PureIt, I really wanted to give it a try for so many reasons. One, I obviously need a fresh source of drinking water for health reasons. Second, it seems to be a promising product, especially knowing that it’s from Unilever. Third, it’s popular in other countries where tap water is contaminated. Fourth, it meets international safety standard.
Installing and using PureIt is easy as 1-2-3. Simply unbox the contents and place one component above the other to assemble, just like building blocks. Then pour the water in, about 9 liters of it. The first batch of water had to be poured back into the the system again. I guess this process is to allow PureIt’s mechanism to determine the level of purification needed. It took me about 5 cycles of pouring the same water in. To give you a better idea of how PureIt works, here’s a video for your reference.
I was initially frustrated because the bad taste of our tap water is very evident on the first attempt to try drinking the water. It’s a good thing I still have my supply of purified water. But when everything seemed okay, I started enjoying the water from PureIt. It tasted fresh, odorless and crystal clear.
Imagine that? Real purified water that I can enjoy with no use of electricity. I don’t have to boil the water, and that frees up my time to do other things. I also save on LPG. No more buying possibly contaminated water from my water refilling station. That’s a lot of savings, all for a water purifying system that works, priced at only Php5,000.00.
Of course, I will eventually buy the Germ Kill Kit, the heart of PureIt’s purification system. But the kit is able to purify about 1,500 liters of water. Depending on use, it can take more or less 3 months before it needs to be replaced. If my memory serves me right, each kit cost Php1,000. The good thing about the entire system is that there’s an indicator when the time comes that I need to replace the kit.
I said goodbye to my trusty neighborhood purified water station because Unilever’s PureIt Water gives me genuinely purified water. Finally, I don’t have to worry about running out of drinking water or waiting for the delivery to arrive. PureIt is highly recommended.
