I just recently hosted a giveaway of the ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5S. While writing the article and the mechanics, I wished that I can join the contest. I wanted to have one because the 5-incher I received for review last year was already in the hands of my cousin. Meanwhile, the older 5.5 version which became my primary phone was lost.
So I was really interested in joining the contest that the other bloggers were running alongside mine. The phone has served me well that owning a similar one would be great. I was really grateful when I received the news that a unit will also be sent for review.
I’ve seen two Zenfones already, so I already know what to expect when unboxing the Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5S. Still, I was curious if there’s anything different. Sliding the box reveals the phone on top, cradled nicely. The retail box contains the user manual, documentations, USB cable, power adapter and earphones with silicon sleeves in different sizes.
This phone is just like the rest of the Zenfones that I’ve had before, and that’s not a bad thing. I’m still in love with it’s curved back because it makes even a big phone easier to handle. I’ve owned another similar sized smartphone that offers a slim profile, but ASUS remains to be a favorite.
I’m so happy that I got the phone in gold. The brushed metal look really lends a premium and sophisticated vibe. That it’s not a finger print magnet is extra points for me.
