AFP and PNP Frontliners Equipped by Metrobank

Metrobank donates PPE to AFP and PNP Frontliners

The AFP and PNP frontliners are the recipients of another batch of donations made by Metrobank through its corporate social responsibility arm Metrobank Foundation, Inc (MBFI). The donation of Personal Protective Equipment worth Php2.2 million will benefit more than 12,000 deployed AFP and PNP personnel tasked to ensure peace and order during the period of enhanced community quarantine. Gloves and N95 masks delivered to the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police is very timely as these PPEs are very much needed. These are usually no longer recommended to be worn several times to avoid contamination. Having more supplies ensures that the AFP and PNP frontliners gets to use new ones every day. Metrobank and GT Capital Holdings Donate PPEs

Metrobank and GT Capital Holdings donated PPES for hospitals in Manila

The Ty Family-led companies Metrobank and GT Capital Holdings Inc through the Metrobank Foundation and GT Foundation released Php8 million funds for the purchase of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs). This support initiative will directly aid the fight against COVID-19 and for the benefit of healthcare frontliners. Php5 million worth of PPEs, which include hazardous material suits, face shields, N95 masks, gloves, and shoe covers, were donated to two (2) COVID-19 Referral Centers namely the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) and Lung Center of the Philippines. Universal Robina Corporation donates products to several hospitals

Universal Robina Corporation has extended its efforts to support the communities in other areas of the country. This is to help mitigate the spread of the deadly coronavirus in the Philippines. URC Sugar and Renewables Division (URC SURE) is donating relief goods as well as sanitation and hygiene products to various checkpoints and Disaster Relief and Rescue Management offices in Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Batangas Province, Panay island and Tuguegarao City. PPEs and medical supplies distributed by SM

Through SM Foundation, PPEs and medical supplies donation by SM were distributed to over 50 hospitals nationwide. The donation worth over Php170 Million towards the fight against COVID 19, surpassed the company’s initial allocation of Php100 Million to help ensure: Healthcare workers in hospitals nationwide are armed with personal protective equipment; testing is made more widely available; providing ICU-grade ventilators to help hospitals manage patients with severe cases. Among the hospitals that received PPE donations as of March 27, 2020, are the following designated COVID Hospitals: the University of the Philippines PGH, Lung Center of the Philippines and Jose N Rodriguez Memorial Hospital.
