Snack offerings come and go. I’ve had some favorites from some brands which I ended up missing because they’ve been eventually discontinued. It’s a good thing there are old favorites that I grew up with that I can come back anytime, such as the Jack ‘n Jill snacks. Now I have another favorite and I’m confident it won’t be gone in the market – Chik’n Skin ni Mang Juan with Suka flavor.
I’ve been enjoying Chicharron ni Mang Juan for quite sometime and have been trying to control myself buying a pack or two whenever I go to the grocery. But when this new Jack ‘n Jill offering was introduced to me, I had difficulty not munching on it every now and then. It’s really addicting.
Who wouldn’t? Chik’n Skin ni Mang Juan with Suka flavor is so delectable and perfectly combines the flavor of popular fried chicken skin and the sour and spicy punch of vinegar. Even my auntie loved it and thought it was the real chicken skin. With this new treat, we don’t have to worry about high cholesterol that comes with the original.
My only consolation is that these snacks are also available in small packs, so I don’t have to devour a huge one in one sitting. Chik’n Skin ni Mang Juan is really good that I enjoy it down to the last crumb. Quite apt since Mang Juan coined a word that perfectly describes how to consume a pack – “simumot” which means completely consuming a pack “hanggang sa huling mumo” (until the last morsel).
Now, snack lovers don’t have to visit restaurants or food kiosks to enjoy the goodness of chicken skin and suka. Not even buy chicken skin from vendors climbing up every bus along EDSA. The favorite snack infused with vinegar is made available in groceries and supermarkets nationwide.
We can all savor Chik’n Skin ni Mang Juan Suka whenever the true Pinoy in you starts craving for that irresistible crunchy, sour and spicy taste of chicken skin. Grab a pack and munch your cravings away.
