Immortal — Michael Jackson’s Songs Immortalized

The King of Pop has influenced a lot of people in the world through his music and performances. It is not surprising that artists in different genres and discipline adapted, even copied his style in their own works. Our very own Gary Valenciano has acknowledged that the legendary performer has made a big impact in life, particularly in his career. His dance moves alone are a testament of MJ’s influence. Michael has a huge following and despite his death, his fans continue to look up to him for inspiration. Unlike other artists, performers has caught on Michael’s legacy through their moves, music and performances. Even our very own inmates from Cebu showed that they can work in unison, dancing to Michael’s music.

It was Epic Records, in agreement with the Estate of Michael Jackson, who released the album. Musical genius Kevin Antunes worked with the Immortal show writer/director Jamie King in designing and reimagining more than 40 of Michael’s greatest original recordings to synch with the visual on screen and the live performances on stage. A year of working with the original multi-track master recording resulted in Kevin’s creation of a seeminly kaleidoscope of sound to the legend’s artistic work but with the power and familiarity of the King of Pop’s voice and recordings.

The double disc edition offers listeners the opportunity to enjoy over 100 minutes of Michael’s original recordings from the Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour. The reimagined recordings will bring the listeners to a musical extravaganza as experienced during the Immortal Show.

Cirque du Soleil is a major organization based in Quebec, tracing its roots from a group of 20 street performers in 1984. Providing high-quality artistic entertainment, the company has grown to 5,000 employees today, including more than 1,400 artists from more than 50 countries. The Immortal show is one visual and musical spectacle I would love to watch. The soundtrack album has truly immortalized Michael Jackson’s songs.
