It started with smileys on chatrooms. Now you have Krispy Kreme Doughnut Emojis to express yourself. That’s a good combination for the millennials who apparently love technology and food. Well, I’m not part of that generation, but I love them too!
Emojis have become a part of communication with family and friends. Smileys and winks, I see them all the time on Facebook, Twitter, Messaging apps, SMS and even email. Heck, you’ll sometimes see them on my blog, see?
But with the busy world we live in, these images can sometimes be muddled with nothingness. It’s a good thing there’s Krispy Kreme Doughnut Emojis to say something sweet – like “I love you” or “You’re okay.” It’s another innovative offering by the leading doughnut chain in the world, and a perfect one to create sweet moments.
Don’t you love it when somebody tells you you’re special? Seeing them on Krispy Kreme doughnuts takes the experience to a higher level. Delicious doughnuts + sweet messages + cute Emojis = Magic moments. Isn’t that cool?
Making memories with #EmojiMagic
Knowing that the marriage between Emojis and food is an awesome new way to create magical memories, Krispy Kreme officially launched their #EmojiMagic campaign just last February 20, 2016 at their flagship store at Bonifacio High Street.
Aside from releasing their limited edition Emoji doughnuts, Krispy Kreme also had BGC’s first ever Emoji Park where patrons could partake in exciting interactive Emoji activities that included Personalized Emoji T-shirts, Emoji Face Painting, Emoji Ball Pit, Make-your-own Emoji Doughnut, and a Catch the Emoji game!
Event host and radio personality Riki Flo led the program and got the audience hyped up for the day’s events. To share the mission and vision behind the campaign, Max’s Group, Inc. Chairperson and Krispy Kreme Philippine’s CEO Sharon T. Fuentebella explained that the three main ideas behind Krispy Kreme’s #EmojiMagic campaign are communication, customization, and sharing. Knowing that personalized creations make for a more meaningful experience.
The Emoji Doughnuts can be decorated with numerous Emojis to allow anybody to send a sweet message using as many or as few Emojis as they want. She also announced that this year-long campaign would commemorate several highlights, holidays, and special occasions throughout the year!
To explain the relevance of Emojis, especially to millennials, was Ariane Martinez-Valinton, Marketing Manager for Krispy Kreme Philippines. “Emojis are a great way to really express yourself and send a sweet message without saying a word!”
Carlo Fajardo, Krispy Kreme’s Asia Pacific Marketing Director excitedly announced that the Emoji Magic campaign—which is a Philippine initiative—is a first in the world, and is already generating enough buzz that other Asian countries are looking to spread their own Emoji Magic.
Spreading smiles, one doughnut at a time
Joining in on the Emoji Park fun were celebrities Helga Krapf, Katarina Rodriguez, and Kaila Estrada. Another exclusive happening only at the Emoji Park was a screening of award-winning director Pepe Diokno’s special #EmojiMagic short film featuring none other than Krispy Kreme doughnuts and Emojis!
From morning until evening, guests happily participated in the games and munched on personalized Emoji doughnuts while also decorating their own doughnuts to give away.
In the spirit of sharing and creativity, Krispy Kreme Emoji doughnuts are still available at all stores nationwide. Head to your nearest store now and send a sweet message without saying a word with Krispy Kreme’s creations!
