Disney has been part of everybody’s childhood and holds a special place in everyone’s hearts, young and old. And almost every year since 1990, the Disney on Ice show has captivated audiences from all ages and from all walks of life. As a kid I can only look at the local catalog printing, posters and photos posted around the Araneta Center. Yes, I never got to watch the show and can only wish that someday, I’d be there seated and enjoying Mickey, Donald and the rest of the gang. My wish came true for 2012 Disney on Ice presents Princesses and Heroes when I finally saw Mickey Mouse in person during the press conference at the Gateway Suites.Mickey Mouse at the 2012 Disney on Ice Press Conference

But that’s not all! I will also get to watch the Disney on Ice show courtesy of the Araneta Center. I am so excited! This year will surely be another delightful entertainment for everyone. Eight Disney Princesses — old favorites Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty as well as new generation’s Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Rapunzel and Tiana – will perform and tell the audience their awesome inspiring stories through artistic figure skating and acrobatic movements. Of course, their respective handsome princes will be on stage as well.

The audience will also witness the adventures of Aladdin in a wild marketplace chase and Prince Philip’s battle with a fire-breathing dragon, live! Watch the grandest, action-packed ice extravaganza never before seen in the Philippines. It looks like this is the most exciting, and most romantic ice show this holiday season! 1. The last time I saw a similar show was for Highschool musical on ice. I would love to watch one again but Im with two boys who are not into princesses and heroes. If Im going to watch it’s just going to be me or I will have to give the tickets to my sister-in-law and her daughter. 🙂

    1. That’s a dilemma; but they might actually enjoy the entire show, after all, there’s Mickey, Minnie and Goofy serving as anchor for each story. Plus, it’s really awesome! 🙂

  2. Looking forward in watching this great show! Disney characters are timeless, children of all generations love them, specially Mickey Mouse..

  3. Disney on Ice in Araneta Coliseum was a great childhood memory for me. When my kids were younger, I am glad I was able to share this event with them as well. Too bad they are not interested to watch this one anymore, but I am up for the nostalgia.

  4. this theatrical play is really a must see every december. even though you have been to disneyland, the magic of this show is still there. great for the holidays!

  5. Disney shows are always nice to watch as it is entertaining and very educational I have yet to watch a disney on ice show though I’ve been able to visit Disneyland several times.
