I had the chance to watch the first episode of Destined To Be Yours during the viewing party of GMA 7’s latest teleserye. At first, I thought this will just be a screening with the media. But I was wrong because some of the AlDub fans also joined us at the screening. It was a fun night with games, entertainment and of course, the “kilig” factor only Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza could bring.
Unfortunately, not one of the cast was able to attend due to the schedule. Too bad, Alden and Maine were not there. It would have been great for the fans to see their idol couple. Actor Lance Musa was present to host the event, and entertainment was provided by Denise Barbacena who sang the official soundtrack of the soap. The song entitled “Tadhana” was composed by Len Calvo.
Almost every moment of the viewing party were filled with cheering and shrieking from the fans whenever the screen would show Alden and Maine. That goes to show how they love the couple. It’s interesting, really.
The first episode of Destined To Be Yours serves as an introduction and sets the base of the story. But already, one gets to a roller coaster of emotions. Yes, you don’t only feel “kilig,” but will also feel sad, sorry, surprised and even irritated.
If I’m going to base the teleserye on the first episode alone, it means TV viewers are in for a treat of good acting and storytelling. Whether you’re an AlDub fan or not, I highly recommend watching the first episode of Destined To Be Yours. And I hope it’ll be part of our regular TV viewing in the evening. The show will air starting February 27th, after 24 Oras.
