ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5S is Bigger and Better

ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5S Reviewed

Having owned an ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser 5 and the 5.5 variant, I feel that I have already shared what I know of this ASUS smartphone line up. So it came as a challenge when I was asked to review the Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5S. Quite simply, it has the same feature with the rest of the Zenfone that I had, only bigger in capacity. It turned out that I was wrong. Simply put, bigger is better. As a blogger active in covering events and on social media, I take photos a lot. I would also do videos from time to time. Because of convenience, I used my smartphone almost always. In fact, my point and shoot camera has been hiding inside my drawers for a year or two already. Through the years I made sure that I have an SD card with large capacity inserted in my camera and/or ...

Red Baron Ribs and Steaks – New Foodie Discovery

Herb Crusted Heavy Porterhouse (Php1,959) at Red Baron Ribs and Steaks

Foodies love to discover new places to hang out and enjoy good food. One of my latest discovery is Red Baron Ribs and Steaks located at the corner of D. Tuazon and Calamba Streets, it’s small and is out of the way. But this hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Quezon City is an ideal place when you don’t want it crowded and still get to enjoy delicious food. Through the OpenRice community, I was invited to a food tasting. The thought of meat and more meat beckons and so I gleefully agreed to join. I’m not familiar with the area, although I know D. Tuazon is near Manila as I always passes by it when on a jeepney plying the Cubao-Taft Avenue route via E. Rodriguez Sr. I decided to take a cab instead. With the help of Waze, I was able to easily get to Red Baron. The place is surrounded by ...

Lamido is My Latest Discovery for Online Buying and Selling

Lamido Philippines Website

I love online shopping as much as I do with online selling. Before online shopping boomed in the Philippines, I was already bidding and buying second hand gadgets. Then I became involved in online selling. The e-commerce landscape in the country continues to evolve, with some sites still existing while others folding up or getting bought by big businesses. Lately, Lamido is my latest discovery for online buying and selling. Not another e-commerce website you might say. Lamido is not just another e-commerce platform. For starters, Rocket Internet is behind this venture, the same company behind Lazada and Zalora. What’s different though is that Lamido Philippines offers a wide range of products from budding entrepreneurs who is somehow overpowered by big companies with their branded products. This means more great deals to find. When I first discovered the website and started browsing, I was actually overwhelmed with all the items ...

Review: Enemy – A Movie that Got Me Curiouser and Curiouser

Enemy Movie (2014)

Adapted from Jose Saramago’s novel The Double, Enemy is a movie that got me curiouser and curiouser by the minute as I watch it during the premiere showing held Monday, July 28 at SM Megamall Cinema 6. With Jake  Gyllenhaal leading the cast, the movie is about Adam Bell (Gyllenhaal), a history professor who watched a movie as recommended by a colleague. After watching the movie, Adam realized he saw himself in it, or at least someone who looks exactly like him. His research led to a discovery of Anthony Clair, a bit player. The two met and their lives became chaotic, to say the least. I love how Denis Villeneuve made the film. As one scene plays out, a new comes along leaving me thinking of what just happened. And yet I’m also trying to decipher what’s going on in the screen. As I begin to understand, I’m suddenly ...
