Azalea Residences is Your Home Away from Home in Baguio

Azalea Residences BaguioSpending 3 days and 2 nights while in the City of Pines, I can attest that Azalea Residences is your home away from home in Baguio. It’s one of the best places I’ve been to as far as hotel accommodation is concerned, it almost feel like I don’t want to leave and roam the Summer Capital of the Philippines which was what we really intend to do. As of this writing, back to my own cozy place in the metro, I sure wished I can stay longer at Azalea Residences. Bloggers arrived at Azalea Residences Baguio The concierge van of Azalea Residences BaguioWe arrived past 2am as our van courtesy of Azalea Residences transported us from the bus terminal to the hotel. I immediately felt welcomed by our driver and the hotel staff manning the lobby. That friendly service was just a teaser as we experienced warm smiles, welcomes and greetings throughout our stay. It’s like having a friendly neighborhood. We entered a 3-bedroom suite, we marveled at how roomy our place would be. There’s a living area with sofa and the egg-shaped chair in front of a flat screen TV with cable provision. Each room is also equipped with TV. There are two restroom, one in the living area and the other one inside the master’s bedroom. The kitchen and dining area is fitted with cooking appliances – a microwave oven, induction cooker, refrigerator and coffee maker. The pots and pans, cutleries, et al can be requested at no extra charge. That means guests can do the cooking. None of us braved to do such a thing though. hehe 🙂

The beds are really comfy. With the cold Baguio weather, I love to curl up under the comforter and just stay there even when I’m not sleeping. The entire Azalea Residences has WiFi access even up to our room and I’d check my tablet lying on my bed. There hotel takes advantage of the cold weather instead of having air conditioning system. But if you’re like me who enjoy a cold environment, you can turn the ceiling fan on.

We got to tour the entire Azalea Residences on our first day. There I learned that aside from being a home away from home, Azalea offers several amenities for everyone visiting Baguio for business, pleasure or both. The hotel offers 99 well-appointed rooms – 46 deluxe suies, 17 one-bedroom suies, 33 one-bedroom suites and 3 three-bedroom suites. Apparently, all rooms has a living area with a sofa bed and flat screen TV, toilet and bath with hot and cold shower, dining table and chairs, kitchen appliances and utensils.

We were also shown the Presidential Suite, a loft-type setup for big family and a group of friends. The place is really nice, the furnishings, fixtures and accent were carefully chosen for this suite. All rooms at the Presidential Suite are equipped with queen size beds.

The 3-bedroom suites where we stay is actually considered a Family Suite. Guests carrying a baby can even request for a crib at no extra cost. If you’re looking for a romantic getaway, Azalea Residences has the Romantic Room perfect for couples going on a honeymoon or simply to rekindle the fire. We were told that Azalea can take on any special needs such as fixing up a room for birthday surprises, roses, etc. The setup shown to us at the Romantic Room will surely set the mood for love. Just call the hotel for such requests.

If you’re feeling the hunger pangs, Azalea Residences‘ very own restaurant has a lot to offer. Tradisyon Comfort Food Restaurant offers more than just Filipino comfort foods. The restaurant offers buffett and ala carte servings that will surely satisfy your appetite (more on this on my next blog). You can also chill at the 8 Degrees Bar Lounge.

For businesses who want to bring their conferences or planning sessions to Baguio, Azalea Residences offers 2 conference rooms and a function room dubbed as the Azalea Tent for social gatherings such as a wedding reception. Kids are not left behind by Azalea Residences.

There’s the Kid Zone where kids can slide and swing. I love the hotel’s touch on this. I don’t recall visiting a hotel with a children’s playground. Well-appointed rooms, world class amenities, friendly service and a gastronomic experience – indeed Azalea Residences is your home away from home.

Owned by Fog Horn, Inc and affiliated with Resort Condominium International, Azalea offers the best accommodation in the City of Pines. I will definitely be back.
