Catch the new season with new judges of American Idol XIII on ETC. The forerunner of reality singing competition will premiere on January 16, a Thursday and will be shown LIVE via satellite at 6pm on Philippine television. I can’t wait to be entertained once again.
Despite negative comments, I’m glad that American Idol is unfazed and went on for Season 13. Nobody can deny the fact that this show has produced the best roster of winners and finalists that went on to becoming hit makers, award-winning recording artists and some has even crossed over to acting. Idol finalists as a whole, had more than 200 albums released, topped the Billboard charts over 400 times, and have garnered more than 250 million iTunes downloads.I don’t think the other shows in the same genre has yet to achieve this accomplishment.
We will all be able to witness to journey to fame once again starting January 16. I look forward to host American Idol XIII Ryan Seacrest interacting with the judges, contestants and the audience the way only he does best. I look forward to watching the new set of judges – Harry Connick, Jr., Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez. I’m so glad they took Harry Connick Jr. as part of the show. When he mentored the finalist last season, I already agreed with what he has to say. I can’t wait to hear more from him because I’m sure those will be nuggets of wisdom that the contestants should seriously consider. It would also be interesting to see Randy Jackson in his new role, as the in-house mentor.
I don’t want to miss the first few episodes where the coverage of the audition and the final selection is done. This is one of my favorite part of the show. It’s fun watching those hopefuls audition even if they don’t have the gift of singing, especially those with weird personalities who thinks they’re auditioning for circus. Naturally, it’s good to see how my judgement of a particular contestant is aligned with the judges who are seasoned artists. I learned that Connick, Urban and Lopez traveled to Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Detroit, Omaha, Salt Lake City, and San Francisco this year.
Catch the new season with new judges. Catch the American Idol XIII. Watch it live via satellite on ETC this January 16 (Thursday) and January 17 (Friday). I do hope I’m home before 6pm or maybe I should go for the live streaming on my computer through Blink. If not, I can just settle with the primetime telecast at 9pm on the same days.
