I recently learned about the 3 affordable Motorola smartphones set for release this June. These are the Moto C, Moto C Plus and Moto E4 Plus – phones designed to fit your tech lifestyle. Ever since Motorola has been acquired by Lenovo, it has been actively releasing smartphones in the Philippine market. That’s a positive development.
The Motorola brand has been very popular for the Generation X who used pagers and analog phones before smartphones became a reality. One of the reasons for this popularity is the quality of the products made available in the market. I remember working in a telco before and we were issued those bulky Motorola mobile phones. We would challenge others toting non-Motorola mobile phones for a drop test.
Yes, we were confident that our Motorola cellphones would stand the drop, even if done several times. Same goes with the pagers. So it was sad to see the brand trailing behind when things started getting more techie. I had high hopes when it was acquired by Google, but things didn’t turn out the way it should be. Good thing there’s Lenovo.
With the current generation integrating technology in their lifestyle, I’m confident that there’s still a place for a Motorola. As a successful tech company in today’s generation, Lenovo understands the young market. And this is why Motorola is releasing three new powerful Android phones that address Filipino millennials’ diverse needs without draining their wallets: the Moto C, Moto C Plus, and Moto E4 Plus. These affordable Motorola smartphones boasts of stylish builds and power-packed features ready to accompany Filipino society’s young and mighty in all their adventures.
“The new Motorola smartphones embody Lenovo’s commitment to meeting the needs of different users at every level, while keeping up with the demands of our dynamic society today. With the Moto C, Moto C Plus and Moto E4 Plus, Lenovo gives millennials the freedom to choose from a range of smartphones that pack the essentials—and more— at affordable prices. This exciting new smartphone lineup is part of our expanded Motorola product portfolio aimed at broadening our market reach across the Philippines,” said John Rojo, Country Manager, Lenovo Mobile Business Group Philippines.

Moto C: Make a Smart Move
The Moto C is a powerful smartphone that gets the job done without hurting the pocket. Running on a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and Android 7.0 Nougat OS, the Moto C is a millennial’s trusted everyday essential. Its 5-inch display lets users watch and enjoy photos and videos with greater detail and clarity.
Take at-the-moment snapshots even in low-light conditions with the Moto C’s 5MP rear camera with an LED flash. Capture grand selfie moments with the 2MP front camera supported by a selfie light. Posting these photos while on the go to share with friends and family will not be a problem with the smartphone’s 4G capabilities. The 8GB built-in storage capacity, expandable to 32GB with a microSD card, allows users to access their favorite memories anytime and anywhere.
Never worry about having to stop for a charge in the middle of a busy day. The Moto C available in 3G and comes in starry black color packs a punch with its 2,350mAh battery. With the dual-SIM feature which is a standard for all the 3 affordable Motorola smartphones, this one also carry the functions of two phones in one, so you never run out of options.
Availability and Pricing
With the 3 new affordable Motorola smartphones, one’s mobile experience is taken to the next level. The Moto C is available starting June 15 for Php3,699 and the Moto C Plus is priced at Php6,299. Pricing for the Moto E4 Plus starts at Php8,999 available at major Lenovo retailers nationwide by the end of June.
I was hoping to review at least one of the 3 Motorola smartphones, but since they were not yet available during the event, it’s fairly understandable. But I did had the chance to play with the units available and from there I formed my first impressions.
All three phones have a solid feel to it and looks really good. It’s comfortable to hold, thanks to the curves on the sides of the phones. I am biased to the Moto E4 Plus simply because my needs are more demanding when it comes to smartphones. I don’t just use it for personal use, but also for blogging and work. For a practical person, these are affordable Motorola smartphones. I’d like to believe that I found a replacement to my old Android phone that’s been acting weird already.
