Experienced Dolby Atmos in Greenhills Cinema 6

Hear the movies in Dolby Atmos

I experienced Dolby Atmos in Greenhills Cinema 6 when I watched Tom Cruise’s latest movie Edge of Tomorrow. I was looking forward to watching the movie, having heard of good reviews. But I was also excited to watch it in one of the cinemas of the new Promenade in Greenhills because of Dolby’s latest movie sound technology. I have to admit that I am unable to go to the movies as often as I like, but when I do, I make sure that I watch it in a cinema which offers comfortable seating, great air conditioning, convenience and of course, awesome sounds. I only have a few favorites in the metro and so I was willing to discover and experience Dolby Atmos. On my way to the new Promenade Cinemas lobby, I immediately noticed how there’s already a wide selections of restaurants and cafes nearby. That’s a good thing because ...

Sharp Brings the Future of Printing

Sharp and e-Copy Executives

It’s been quite sometime since the last time I handled machines for the office such as copiers and printers. I have been away from the corporate world for about 5 years now having ventured into entrepreneurship and becoming a virtual professional. I do have my laptop and a multi-function printer, but I know for a fact that what I have cannot be compared as far as power usage is concerned. Just recently, I learned that Sharp brings the future of printing with its new generation equipment unveiled, primarily the Sharp Pro Series Color Document Systems. Exclusively distributed by eCopy Corporation, Sharp’s line of multi-function copiers and printers are in tune with the digital technology. These machines are copiers, printers and scanners in one, no need to purchase separate equipment just to be able to do a particular task. And most of these machines are network-capable, which means anybody in the office ...

Food Review – Hokkaido Ramen Santouka

New dishes at Hokkaido Ramen Santouka

The metro is teeming with Japanese restaurants. In the first quarter of 2014, I visited two Japanese restaurants already. Last week, I was invited to have lunch at the Glorietta branch of Hokkaido Ramen Santouka. It was my first time to learn about the restaurant. That got me curious and excited. Located at the ground floor near the Glorietta 4 entrance in front of SM Makati, I suddenly realized why I haven’t chanced upon this restaurant despite frequenting the mall. I don’t usually pass by that area. It looks like I was the only one unaware of Santouka as the place is filled with diners during lunch. Upon entry, I was guided to a small function room with 5 other guests. Restaurant representatives welcomed us and introduced us to Ramen Santouka. I was surprised that the restaurant, with Japan as its origins, has international presence including the USA, Canada, Hongkong, ...

Unilever’s PureIt Water Gives Me Genuinely Purified Water

PureIt Water event

Now it can be told, Unilever’s PureIt Water gives me genuinely purified water. After 2 months of use, I can confidently recommend this in-home water purifier system. Yes, it took me that long to be convinced about how effective this product is. After all, we’re talking about health here. Now I’m grateful that I am not just able to give this a try, but keep it as well.  I no longer fear of drinking contaminated water at home, with no extra expenses. For more than 10 years now, I have been getting my supply of drinking water from a neighborhood purified water station. It didn’t really cost that much as I only pay Php30.00 for 5 gallons of water. We had to purchase our drinking water because our tap water doesn’t taste good. Plus, there are obviously fears of drinking contaminated water that will definitely endager our health. But my auntie, who ...

I Give GrabCar by GrabTaxi 4 Points

A Hyundai Sonata is my ride to the GrabCar Media Launch

I give GrabCar by GrabTaxi 4 points on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest rating. GrabCar is an alternative to getting a cab ride, only better. And this is only after a year of providing safe and convenient taxi ride in the metro. I have been enjoying GrabTaxi’s service from the time I learned about it til today. But GrabCar is bringing the commute to a new level and I’m loving it already after my initial experience. Here’s why. Ride a Private Car Yep, instead of riding a taxi, you get to ride a car with no markings to indicate that you’re ride is actually a public transport of some sort. How awesome is that? During the launch held at the Bonifacio High Street in Taguig, I was picked up by a Hyundai Sonata from my place in Quezon City to the venue. The moment ...

DreamPlay is the world’s first DreamWorks-themed educational and entertainment center. This will be housed at City of Dreams Manila, a leisure, gaming and entertainment destination to rise at Entertainment City, Manila and is currently under development. City of Dreams Manila is a development of integrated casino resort developer Melco Crown (Philippines) Resorts Corporation. The company made the announcement about the collaboration with global entertainment company DreamWorks Animation during a presscon held at White Space in Makati last May 22nd.  Upon completion, DreamPlay will definitely draw crowds, not only from all corners of the country but from foreigners as well. This will definitely contribute to Philippine tourism. I’m excited about DreamPlay by DreamWorks. If you enjoyed Kung Fu ...

EasyShop President and CEO Nelson Liao

Eager to learn more about the newest online seller portal, I attended the EasyShop.PH sellers’ night last Saturday. It was a well-attended event where I got to meet fellow bloggers, online sellers and executives. It was also a great opportunity to learn more about the processes involved in using EasyShop.PH which will soon be officially launched in June. With that, I share the 6 reasons why online sellers should use EasyShop.PH to expand their business. Free Advertising – Yep, EasyShop.PH plans to aggressively advertise online. They mentioned Google and Facebook as just two of the websites they intend to capitalize on for the online selling portal’s exposure. That’s free advertising for online sellers. To top that, advertising is targeted to the right audience. Let’s admit it, advertising on television, radio and print is not much effective anymore. Easy Registration – Signing up for an online seller account with EasyShop.PH is ...

Chops Chicago Steakhouse Greenbelt 5 Revisited

Chops Tomahawk Steak at Chops Chicago Steakhouse Greenbelt 5

After a little over a year ago, I was back at Chops Chicago Steakhouse in Greenbelt 5. This opportunity to do another food review came unexpectedly. But I was more than willing to oblige knowing how good my first dining experience was. Well, it was sweeter the second time around. Sweeter indeed because I had the chance to savor some new dishes. Our dining adventure at Chops Resto started with Bruschetta (Php375.00). The grilled crostini topped with seared foie gras, arugula seeds, smoked bacon, Fiji apples with red onion dressing set things to a good start. The next dish was familiar – The Bone Marrow (Php295.00) – as I was able to try the dish the first time I dined at the restaurant. This time is good because I was able to get more, haha… Imagine having a Bulalo except that it’s roasted beef marrow that you can scrape. It’s ...

Madison’s Bistro Moderne – The Finer Things in Life

Dishes at Madison's Bistro Moderne

Dining at Madison’s Bistro Moderne is one of the finer things in life that I got to enjoy recently. The restaurant in a fine-dining category is now open. Located at the ground floor of One Garden Way in Shangri-La Plaza, just a few steps away from EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, this is one dining destination that foodies with discriminating taste will surely frequent. Madison’s Bistro Moderne was jam-packed during the grand opening in the evening of April 23rd. By the looks of it, the place was filled with the metro’s finest ready to wine and dine til the wee hours of the morning. As we squeezed our way into the restaurant, I knew I was in for a treat. The Place Upon entry, you’ll be greeted by the bar with a selection of wines and spirit up on the wall. A few steps more and there’s the dining area. Similar to ...
