Despite working from home, managing a business can be really stressful. When I discovered blogging, it became a good venue to distress. From time to time though, this can also be stressful especially when dealing with different personalities which I’ve come across lately. I really needed to relax, so when the opportunity to have a massage was offered to me, I did not think twice and said YES immediately without getting the details. The day came and I found myself going farther north of Quezon City to experience royal indulgence at the Royal Oasis.

The massage center offers Thai, Swedish, Aromatherapy and Volcanic Stone Massage. I’m familiar with the first three, but I have yet to experience the last one. I learned that the stones used in the massage did not come from a volcano. They’re actually smooth rounded stones warmed and rubbed on the body. I want it, and I got it!
After sipping the last drop of that relaxing complimentary cup of ginger tea, I was then ushered into the main room where all the action happens. I was handed a pair of slippers and was asked to sit on one of the two couches to have have a foot soak. As the therapist wash my feet, my eyes wandered around and noticed that despite the dim lighting, one can walk about comfortably because everything is visible. The room also looked Zen-like with the curtains, planters, wood and stones beautifully arranged to give off a relaxing interior.


After carefully washing and drying my feet, I was directed to enter one of the chambers which, from the outside looked like a replica of a room used during the time when there’s a raja. There lay a mattress, pillows and what looked like a pashmina. I was given privacy to strip my clothes down and put on a boxers shorts. In a little while and I was already lying on my stomach and the therapist working on the massage. It took sometime to experience the stone
