HP Slate7 Soon to Hit the Philippine Market

HP Slate7 soon to hit the Philippine market and it looks like another mobile computing device that will get the Filipino consumer’s attention. Why not? Slate7 is an Android-powered tablet aimed at the value conscious shopper. The starting price is said to be at Php7,990.

HP Slate7This tablet is superbly backed by the HP brand and support. The Slate7 is made of premium quality materials—stainless steel and soft touch paint—available in both silver and red. HP also used a 5-points-touch 1024×600 wide view angle LCD, making a multi-user interface possible for those multi-player games and applications. The tablet has a VGA video webcam in front and a 3 megapixel camera at the back. It is also equipped with a capability that allows the user to print directly from an application support.

The HP Slate7 has enough capability for personal daily use with its 1GB RAM, 8GB eMMC and micro SD expandability, plus the WIFI and Bluetooth connectivity. In addition, the tablet is the first ever to have Beats Audio, providing superior sound quality for music and movies, along with built-in stereo speakers. The battery is capable of five hours video playback.

The entry of Slate7 will usher in HP’s coverage of the consumer tablet segment with a broad portfolio of products and technologies geared towards everyday use. Soon the market will experience the world leader in PC’s range with a variety of sizes and operating systems and offer compelling solutions for the BYOD space.

Albert Mateo, HP General Manager for PPS, said “The product is primarily for play and entertainment consumption, but it can also be used as BYOD and for email, note-taking, and other processes.” “This product will be able to contend in the Philippine market instantly and we expect the value conscious shopper to frenzy over the possibilities they can do with the Slate7 as soon as it gets here.”

Although there are tablets at a much lower price range, HP’s tablet is worth considering especially when taking into account its trusted brand.
