Yep, you read it right. The American Idol Season 10 Finalist is coming to Manila this September.
I was on ETC Channel 9 where Ovation Productions frequently announces upcoming concerts by foreign artists. I was actually surfing the web while the commercials went on. Then the set was suddenly silent. I was initially surprised seeing the pictures of Pia Toscano, Casey Abrams and the rest being flashed on the screen. In my mind, I was thinking “Whoa! American Idol is transferring to ETC.” Towards the end I realized I was thinking wrong. Unfortunately, I’m not sure if I got the date right, so I prefer not to post it. (Update: The Concert will be on September 20, 8pm at the Araneta Coliseum)
I checked Ovation Productions’ website but did not find any post about it. I typed some keywords and found posts from Ricky.org and mjsbigblog.com confirming this information, quoting Paul McDonald‘s statement about the tour mentioning the Philippines.
I would love to watch Casey Abrams, James Durbin, Pia Toscano and our very own Thia Megia perform. Of course it would be great to experience Scotty McCreery‘s singing. This would be awesome and a total entertainment package with 11 performers on the stage. I just hope this would be affordable so that a lot of our “kababayan” can watch and enjoy.
